Android 4.0 ICS Supported Zync Z-999 Plus tablet released in India

Indian tablet maker Zync has just launched first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, the Z-999 plus. The table is now available for purchase for just Rs 11,990.
The new slate sets itself in the same price range as the recently launched mTab Rio tablet, which is powered by the same Android 4.0 ICS platform.

However, customers who wish to use their tablets as mobile phones as well will probably want to choose Zync’s Z-999 plus given the fact that it comes with voice calling support.
The tablet is also integrated with 3G connectivity, whereas the mTab Rio offers this 3G only with the addition of a USB dongle.
Moreover, Zync’s ICS-based tablet is shipped with a rich-featured sales package, which includes several of practical accessories such as screen guard, lycra sleeve and earphones.
The Z-999 plus is also Zync’s first 7-inch tablet with Android 4.0 that features 3G calling and data connectivity through an onboard SIM slot.
Hardware-wise, the slate is equipped with a 1.5GHz single-core ARM Cortex A8 processor, which is complemented by 512 MB RAM.
There’s also 8GB of internal memory inside, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. Wi-Fi connectivity and a 2-megapixel rear camera, along with VGA front-facing photo snapper for video chat are included as well.
According to Zync, the Z-999 plus will be available across 22 states and online retailers, including Flipkart, Homeshop18, Naaptol and Snapdeal.
“ We were the first players to launch a low-costtablet on Android 4.0 a few months ago and areconstantly working on innovation by adding more features to match the varied needs and lifestyles of consumers.” The response from our customer base for our earlier models Z-909 plus, Z-990 and Z-990 plus has been outstanding and we are catering to the student community and education institutions at large ,” said Ashish Garg, director, Zync Global Private Limited
