Discuz is a Chinese forum script like phpBB, vBulletin, mybbb etc. It a very rare forum script with many features also its user friendly. One of the major advantages is that it has his own mobile view.

How to Install Discuz X2 , X2.5 english Forum

1. First How to get Discuz x2, x2.5 translated English version.

 Below are google code files  source file. To download Discuz X2 you need svn client and to  Discuz x2.5 en download you need Mercurial client

Discuz x2.5 en- http://discuzx25.googlecode.com/

Download discuz x2 using Tortoise svn

1. Go to http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads.html



2. Download Install TortoiseSVN

3. After Installing have a right click, then you will see something like in below screenshot



4. Copy any of the discuz version you want.

Eg: copy like this http://discuzx-en.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/discuzx2.0/
Discuzx2 english- http://discuzx-en.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/discuzx2.0/Discuzx2 ML - http://discuzx-en.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/discuzx2.0ML/

we are doing this for appearing in the url repository check STEP 6

5. After copying In your desktop make new foder discuz and right click on that folder and select svn checkout

6. Then window like in the below will appear. In that make sure, URL of repository that is STEP 4 is there or not then click OK.

7. After clicking ok, Repository files starts downloading, after download Finish click ok.

3. Now you have downloaded discuz x2 .

Download Discuz X2.5 Using Tortoise HG

1. Download Tortoise Hg 

2. After downloading, install application.

3. Now copy this code

 http://code.google.com/p/discuzx25/

4. Make new folder on your desktop. In that another folder .


5. Now right click then you can see tortoise hg. In submenu you will see clone click that.


6. In clone, change source path by pasting the code. Click clone . that's it it will start download after all It will finish soon.

Upload through filezilla

4. Next step using filezilla upload these files to your hosting.[ You should upload in public html]

5. Now how to install discuz to your host with your domain


~Now to install www.yourdomain/install/


~Here "yourdomain" is your domain should be added there for eg www.techgratis.site88.net/install/




6. Next after click i agree



7. Next click next step for next 2 windows








8. Next step make MySQL database in your host and do has in below screen shot.

9.After that clicking Next, Your installation starts and after sometime it completes.
