Nokia is now started to think different in there hardware. There new intention is to bring out Super-hydrophobic Waterproofing Tech.Nokia is working hard to bring its lab technologies into the latest PureView and Lumia smartphones. 

With Nokia 808 PureView that’s just about to make its debut on the market, the handset maker will surely win back some of the market share lost in the last two years.Even though Nokia was forced to pull the plug on some of the projects developed in its R&D centers, and even close some of these due to low income, it appears that new technologies continue to be researched in its laboratories.

One of these innovative technologies that Nokia is working on is called “superhydrophobic” technology and will reportedly make future Lumia and PureView smartphones completely waterproof.
Pierce claims that Nokia has been secretly developing its own waterproof technology that will be embedded into smartphones, but it did not reveal any timelines for the implementation.

Here is how Nokia’s Conor Pierce explained the company’s innovative “superhydrophobic” technology:

“What happens when a drop of water lands on a lotus leaf has baffled scientists for generations, but our team in Cambridge UK found a solution. Nano technology lets us do it. Superhydrophobic technology makes water bounce, it stops it, rolls it off the device and leaves it water impregnant, that’s the magic, that’s what we’re going to bring to the party.”

Nokia 808 PureView Preorder In India For 29,999

The New Nokia 808 PureView will be available in India for around Rs 29,999 . However, the Finnish company did not confirmed the no-term price of the smartphone at that time and said that's just a dummy price. It appears that BuyThePrice retailer is among the first Indian authorized resellers to take pre-orders for the Nokia 808 PureView. Unfortunately, the price is a bit higher than the previous price leaked two weeks ago, which might suggest that this won't be the final price either.Customers can pre-order the Nokia 808 PureView for Rs 32,000 (580 USD or 460 EUR) outright via BuyThePrice. According to the retailer, the smartphone ships on May 30.


Nokia 808 PureView is the first Symbian smartphone to be shipped with Nokia Belle FP1 out of the box. Android 4.0 ICS Updates for More HTC Smartphones

HTC came forward with an overall timeline for its own Android 4.0 update schedule.
At first glance, it's pretty obvious that all HTC devices slated for an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will receive their updates by the end of August.However, according to HTC, because of partner and network testing, as well as approval processes for device updates, it can take up to 45 days for all carriers to get the update after a rollout has begun.

This is why many HTC device owners won't receive their promised Android 4.0 upgrades as soon as the rollout is announced.Anyway here is the list of HTC handsets expected to receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream upgrade in the following months:

- HTC Velocity 4G, HTC Vivid, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation 4G in March / June;
- HTC Sensation XL in April / June;
- HTC Amaze 4G and HTC EVO 4G+ in May / June;
- HTC Desire S, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Rezound and HTC Rhyme in June / July;
- HTC Desire HD and HTC Thunderbolt in July / August.

HTC notes that the above dates are just estimates, so they might be subject to change due to testing and approvals. Furthermore, due to localization, testing and partner approvals, these updates won't be rolled out at the same time in all regions.The Taiwanese company also confirmed that several HTC devices won't be upgraded to Android 4.0, including HTC ChaCha, HTC Wildfire S, HTC Explorer and HTC Salsa. Bad news for HTC tablets owners as well. The handset vendor announced that HTC tablets, including the HTC Flyer, HTC EVO View 4G, and HTC Jetstream will remain on their current Android version.

Samsung Galaxy Slll rooted before release.

Yeah its true galaxy s3 got rooted before release. Recognized developer Chainfire on XDA Forums has managed to root the Galaxy S III, weeks before launch. Apparently, the process was incredibly straightforward and a lot simpler, compared to previous Galaxy phones. The root was performed on the current or release candidate firmware of the S III, so by the time the phone actually makes it out to retail, it could change, but hopefully by not much. Chainfire also gave out a special shoutout to Samsung for not locking everything down the way most manufacturers do, “Now, everybody say thanks to Samsung! I don't always agree with them, but so far they have been the first and IMHO still are the only high-end Android OEM who aren't complete douchebags in the unlock department!” This just goes to show that the S III will be another modders dream phone, with everything being easily hackable.

New Optimus UI 3.0 For LG Android 4.0 Smartphones

Today, South Korean mobile phone carrier LG Electronics officially unveiled details on its new interface for devices powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, namely the LG Optimus UI 3.0.
The new user interface is meant to provide a brand new experience to all people through delivering new features and various personalization options in the palm of their hand.
For example Optimus UI 3.0 brings along Quick Memo, along with a set of unique unlock functions, while also packing various other enhancements, LG announced.
The new interface promises both speed and convenience, while enabling users to performvarious tasks on the device faster and easier than before.

The new powerful memo function dubbed Quick Memo will provide people with the possibility to take fast notes on the phone’s screen by using their fingers.

Moreover, the feature will offer users the option to share those notes on social networking sites, as well as via text messages and e-mails.

Other features included in the new UI would be:

- the ability to unlock the phone by dragging anywhere on the screen;
- a new Pattern Lock that allows users to preset the most frequently used function, such as the camera, which automatically opens once the phone is unlocked;
- a simpler version of Optimus UI 3.0 for new smartphone users which organizes the main applications so that they are the easiest to access;
- a new Voice Shutter that allows users to capture photos using only voice commands;

LG’s Optimus UI 3.0 will first arrive on shelves loaded on the new LG Optimus LTE II smartphone that will go on sale in Korea this week, and it will also be present on LG Optimus 4X HD, which is slated for a market debut in June.

According to Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, the new UI is LG’s attempt to differentiate itself from other handset vendors in a market where smartphones are increasingly similar in terms of hardware.

“Both carriers and customers tell us that they want LG phones to look and feel unique and the UI plays a big part in that. LG is really going to push the boundaries of what is possible in user interfaces starting with Optimus UI 3.0,” Jong-seok Park stated.
